Cemented by the in-house project management capabilities, the company has the expertise to successfully manage all
technical aspects associated with the transportation and installation of wind farms.

Complete wind turbine transportation services include the organisation and management of shipping, customs clearance,
harbour offloading and reloading, route surveys, road clearance and permits, police escorts and on-site offloading.
Furthermore, Vanguard maintains solid relationships with port authorities and up-to-date knowledge of all local ports, offering
harbour warehousing facilities as well.

Vanguard’s impressive range of installation equipment includes a GTK 1100 crane – the only one of its kind in Africa and one
of only seven in the world. A favourite for wind turbine installations, this crane offers fast and cost-effective site
establishment, as well as extreme on-site flexibility. Able to lift 100t to heights of more than 100m, the GTK 1100 only
requires an 18m x 18m footprint and is well suited to restricted sites. It is ready for operation in just four to six hours and
requires only four truckloads for mobilisation.
